Musiqology (Editorial)

Musiqology was a music and culture editorial platform built around the scholarship and artistry of Dr. Guthrie Ramsey and collaborating artists. As the in-house creative, I was responsible for designing the full digital editorial experience, from homepage to article layout.

I designed the end-to-end website experience for Musiqology, creating a platform that could present music journalism and cultural commentary with the visual sophistication the content deserved.

The scope included homepage design, full site design, and article/content layout, each requiring its own creative thinking. The homepage had to draw readers in and signal the platform's point of view immediately. Article layouts had to be clean and readable while still feeling distinctly Musiqology. Together, the site functioned as both a publication and a cultural statement.

The editorial design system was built to be consistent enough to feel like a cohesive publication, and flexible enough to serve a wide range of content: essays, interviews, reviews, and artist features.

The editorial framework developed for Musiqology laid the groundwork for the platform's evolution into Musiqology Media, demonstrating the lasting impact of intentional design systems built for scale.
